Alderperson Bill Jetzer

Bill Jetzer currently serves as a City Council member in Fitchburg, embarking on his second term from April 2023 to April 2025. Bill's ties to Fitchburg run deep, having resided in the City for 28 years since January of 1996. Professionally, Bill brings extensive experience in software development and systems integration, having worked at SVA Consulting since 2002. Beyond his professional endeavors, Bill is deeply committed to community service, actively participating in volunteer efforts such as community events sponsored by Bike Fitchburg, waterway cleanup events, and City tree planting initiatives.

With a supportive family including his wife Kelly and three grown sons, Bill values the importance of family and community cohesion. His educational background includes bachelor's degrees in Physics and Mathematics from UW Stevens Point, underscoring his analytical and problem-solving skills. Bill finds solace and joy in Fitchburg's parks and trails, reflecting his appreciation for outdoor spaces. In his leisure time, Bill enjoys a variety of hobbies including running, biking, swimming, gardening, camping, and photography. His dedication to community improvement is further demonstrated through his involvement in the Board of Public Works, Transportation & Transit Commission, Resource Conservation Commission, and Finance Committee, highlighting his commitment to enhancing the quality of life in Fitchburg.
