Festival Events

The City of Fitchburg Festival Events is outlined in Sec. 54-26 of the general code of ordinances.

A large scale festival event is defined as an event where all of the following apply:

  1. The event is located in a city park
  2. The event is open to the public
  3. The event requires a sound permit
  4. The event serves alcohol pursuant to an alcohol license
  5. The event is not sponsored in whole or in part by the city

Completed applications and payment are due in the clerk's office at least 60 days before the date of the event.  At a minimum the application shall also include the following at the time of submission:

  1. A site plan for the event
  2. A schedule of events
  3. A security plan
  4. Proof of Insurance

Simply click here to create or log in to your account.

Moving forward, once you create an account with OpenGov, you can apply for multiple licenses through the City each year, using the same account (including Dog License/Operator’s License/Special Event/etc). 

OpenGov Renewals

For those applicants that have applied previously through the OpenGov portal, you'll need to reapply using the Renewal functionality. 

To renew your license, please navigate to the City of Fitchburg OpenGov website. Once there, log into your OpenGov Account (the email address you are receiving this notification with is the email address associated with your OpenGov account.) Once logged in, select "My Account" at the top of the page. You should find a "Renew Now" button in the Action Required section that you can click to begin the renewal process. See below.
