Composition
The Board of Review shall consist of five city residents, three alternate members nominated by the mayor, subject to confirmation by the common council.
Summary of Duties
The Board of Review shall have all of the powers and duties delegated to it by state law including: To examine the assessment rolls, to correct all apparent errors, to add omitted property and to conduct public hearings concerning any objection to amount or valuation of property. In addition, to correct any assessment which it determines, from evidence before it, to be too high or too low and to review the assessment of any property which it has reason to believe may have an incorrect assessment.
