Sustain Dane Efficiency Navigator Press Conference
Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway, Fitchburg Mayor Julia Arata-Fratta and other local officials announce the opening of Sustain Dane's 2026 Efficiency Navigator Program during a press conference at the site of one of the 2025 recipients.
Police Services Facility Construction Update
Construction continues on the Police Services Facility in Fitchburg.

Fitchburg has a new golf simulator. The Fairway Lounge has opened up at 2949 Triverton Pike Drive. The space is home to numerous golf simulators but there are also plans to utilize their commercial kitchen space for food trucks in the area.

In our sustainability update for March, we're looking ahead to Earth Month.
Mayor Julia Arata-Fratta, along with members of the Common Council, proclaim March 24, 2026, as Agriculture Day in Fitchburg and encourage all residents to acknowledge the contributions of agricultural producers and to reflect on the significance of agriculture in daily life.

The Fitchburg Fire Department is celebrating the donation of a pallet of soy-based firefighting foam, SoyFoam, from the Wisconsin Soybean Marketing Board. SoyFoam is free of PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), forever chemicals, meaning this new foam will be better for the firefighters and better for the environment.

Better Business Bureau: Phony Debt Collectors
Debt collection scams can be one of the most frightening and persistent scam types. Victims often report that scammers harass them or their family members for weeks or even months, both at home and at work, trying to get them to pay a debt they don’t even owe. BBB receives numerous reports of con artists changing tactics just to get the information necessary to collect information or cash.
Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection: Targeted Family Scam
A Wisconsin consumer recently lost $2,900 to a sophisticated scammer who used publicly available information to impersonate a law enforcement official. Michael Domke from DATCP has all the details about this "spear phishing" scam.
